In the Garden this month
The ground is still frozen but there are a few intrepid flowers that pop up as soon as possible in my zone 5 garden. The snow drops first appeared in late February as did the spidery blossoms of Hamamelis “Jelena” and are in their full glory now. Hamamelis “Arnold’s Promise” took a bit more time





Fall Scenes
Well here we are in the second wave of covid 19 and no relief in site. Hang in there everyone! On the bright side, we are having a glorious fall with some of the most spectacular colours and harvests. So social distance and go for a drive, walk or bike ride and enjoy the good


In the Garden this Week
Plant of the Week: Heptacodium Heptacodium or Seven Sons tree is an under used small tree for the garden. It offers multi seasonal use with flowers in late summer, colourful pink bracts, yellow fall foliage and peeling bark on an open frame for winter interest. Bees love it and hummingbirds flock to the small flowers


Happy Easter
Well it looks like the Easter Bunny is on his own this year as we continue to hunker down. On the flip side, I get to enjoy my garden and the spring delights that keep popping out of the ground. Mother Nature has certainly given us a slap upside our collective heads and a stern
